Industry Reviews
Ivey and the Airship is a tale of horror and romance set in Aether, a steampunk world filled with airships and contraptions of unfathomable size and elegance. The storyline is simple at first, but it slowly spreads and weaves its way through your imagination as the plot develops and you get deeper into the story, meeting loads of great characters along the way. From killer leeches to power-hungry cipher machines, the book spirals in and out of Inception-like dream circles. Ivey and the Airship is definitely a book I would recommend to any reader of steampunk or adventure novels. – Evan Bordessa, GeekMom.com
“The characters in Ivey and the Airship are so compelling and convincing that I could not put the book down. Young Ivey’s growth is beautiful as she comes to grips with her gifts, thumbs her nose at this sci-fi Victorian society, saves the world, and—last but not least—claims the affection of the most eligible bachelor on the planet. Cheryl Ammeter’s writing is fresh, inventive, and so cinematic—I could easily visualize all the airships, monsters, and friends of the family. Ivey’s pet monster—the often invisible, ferocious ‘waterdog’—is a boffo creation. I want my own. Ivey and the Airship really has everything: adventure, romance, humor, large metaphors . . . and I loved the ending!” - Jane Howle, former publisher of Baskerville Publishers, Inc.

something else, Anyways I am here now and would just like to say many thanks for a fantastic post and a all round exciting blog (I
also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to look over it all at the minute but I have bookmarked it and also added in your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read a lot more, Please do keep up the awesome job.
Absolutely brilliant post guys, been following you.
Hi there thanks for the quality post, i had a good read.
Lovely just what I was looking for.
Cheryl,
When will “Ivey And The Airship” be available thru Baker & Taylor? Our YA Librarian here in Friendswood, Texas, was willing to but a copy in her cart online & it wasn’t yet available. Hope you are well. We met at the Houston T.L.A.

Ugly Dog Digital has “Ivey” in line at Baker & Taylor, so it should go live soon. We are offering libraries DRM-free e-books in support of their value to our communities. For more information contact erik@uglydogdigital.com
Clifton, thanks for checking back with me – and I am well!
What did you think about Starship Troopers? I thought they cghaut the weird fascism of the book nicely. Yes, they lacked the powered armor, which was the coolest thing about the book, but the Rodger Young was a nice ship.
Again, I’m disappointed. I’ve denegsid an airship that can accomodate 200 people & 50 crew. It has better amenities. Can cruise at the same altitude as jets, & has the capability of going Mach 1.My ‘Super-Z’ is better than anything out there. It’s the Ferrari to thier Dodge trucks!
i havent read it yet but i just got it. this book is going to be a BIG deal!!!
Happened upon your book from Amazon while doing a search for a book involving airships. Your story was an absolute delight, and I can’t wait for the next one to come. My wife is quite relieved that I finished the book and I can resume our relationship ha ha ha! I may have to get the paperback as a gift for her so she can read it and I can still keep my computer free
Just finished Ivey and the Airship! Haven’t been so charmed by a book since Harry Potter. I think if I bought a lot of your autographed books they’d out-perform any other investment. Well done!
Hiya there,
I was recommended this book by a friend of mine, Cat, a friend of Jade Kops. I’m based in the UK at the moment and was pretty keen to order a copy when she told me about it. For some reason though the paypal and credit card gateways won’t let me order from here. Is there any other way I can make a payment? Please feel free to e-mail me rather than reply here, I look forward to getting to read book 1!
Many thanks.
Pete

I’m extremely inspired together with your writing talents and also with the layout to your blog. Is that this a paid subject matter or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice high quality writing, it is uncommon to look a nice blog like this one nowadays..

Very lovely article, bye.
I just finished reading Book 1. Thank goodness, there is a Book 2 already in the works!! I want to follow Ivey for as long as she wants to share her adventures. She’s fearless, headstrong, or should I say, “full of purpose,” and surrounded by the most wonderful characters…friends, family, and foes…I’ve had the pleasure to meet. It’s a delicious and delightful ride. Kudos to Ms. Ammeter!!
Very cool I’ve bookmarked ya on Digg under “Aether's Edge – Book One: Ivey and the Airship”. Keep up with the good stuff.
I’m about halfway through chapter six now and i have to say i am loving every second of this book. I’m not sure i can even begin to describe how vividly i already see the world of Aether, and how deeply i am enjoying it. I’ve already made several recommendations to friends who like the Steam Punk genre and hope to make many many more!
Thank you, Taylor! Please feel free to spread the word about Aether and the girl who holds its destiny in her hands – and heart.

We’ve waited so long for the publication of this WONDERFUL book ! Thank you Cheryl for sharing your incredible ability to explore the close lines between present day reality with Ivey’s fantastic world. I predict it won’t be long until our world gets very familar with Ivey’s world—chapter by chapter, book by book… we’re ready—
bring it on!
Molly,
After many long years and a lot of work, the airship is finally off the ground. Here’s to flying high in the days ahead!
